David Brownlee came into town today, we (Peter Willson, John Curd, and Mick Banfield) met him in the Harrow for a pint of beer.
Almost like the old days, except the pub was then the Harrow and Barley corn and the day would have been market day, Wednesday.
Today was an end of an era as my colleagues John Curd and Peter Willson were made redundant from Elevon in the UK. I am now the only one left. They were taken on by Arelon.
Old Walker UK employees past and present had a get together at the Bugle Horn for a drink and a quick meal. Present were Steve Blasdale, John Curd, Peter Willson, Mike Barton, Rosemary Blasdale, Nigel Hudson, Steve Allen, Chris Quarmby, Barbara Wilkie, Stefan Roos. We had a good time recounting the old times.
