Rosemary and I spent two weeks away on a Botswana Safari organised by Naturetrek. The trip was a tented Safari, visiting Khwai and Moremi and was run by Letaka Safaris. After this first week we visited Victoria Falls. We flew over the falls in a microlight, and walked in the spay near them. We then travelled to Kasane, staying at the Chobe Safari Lodge. Take a look at the galleries below. I have provided a detailed day by day blow of our safari along with pictures. I have also included on this page a few star photographs. Hope you enjoy. We were away between 23rd April 2016, arriving back on the morning of 7th May 2016.

A day by day diary and photographs of our holiday in Botswana and Zambia.
Flight from Johannesburg to Maun, then drive to Khwai Community area. On drive we spotted a pack of Wild Dogs, Kudu, Elephant and Zebra.
First full day in the Khwai Community area. Highlights were the Leopard, Elephant, lots of birds and the evening sighting of Lions
Second full day in the Khwai Community area. Highlights were the Hyena, Mokoro boat trip, Vultures and African Wild Cat
Today we decamped from Khwai and drove to Moremi where our new sites was located on a small lake with Hippo and Crocs.
Our second day in Moremi, today we saw Wildebeest, Warthogs and many different varieties of birds. I also managed to capture on silicon three different draogonflies.
Third day in Moremi, good views of a male and female lion. We then saw another male and female eating. A pack of wild dogs, Ostrich
Fourth day in Moremi, large pack of wild dogs, good views of a male lion. . Interesting shots of Hippo and Skimmers.
Our last day in Botswana as we transfer back to Johannesburg for the night. We then fly to Victoria falls in Zambia for the next day.
Microlite flight over Victoria falls, followed by a guided walk around the Zambia side of Victoria Falls
Final morning in Zambia, and then travel back to Botswana to visit the Chobe reserve. An afternoon river trip up the Chobe
Second day in Chobe, early morning game drive before breakfast, followed by a late afternoon river cruise.
