This is a medieval and Tudor house of the highest status. The outstanding joinery of its arch-braced and molded ceilings and screens is of a quality to rival the more famous Cotehele, not far away. Those who stay here have an unrivaled opportunity to experience the life of a prosperous Tudor gentleman. It is a little off the beaten track. Nice gardens, but alas it rained. There was a huge Jackdaw colony nearby, and oh they threw sticks down the chimney.
