Tuesday 3rd August we took a ride on the Strathspey Railway from Broomhill, through Boat of Garten to Aviemore. The Broomhill station is better known as Glenbogle from the TV series Monarch of the Glen.
We had a very enjoyable and reasonable lunch in Aviemore above an outdoor equipment shop. It was run by a New Zealander who had come home. Sensible man.
On another day we took a walk around the holiday cottage we were staying in. We also did a whisky trip and visited a couple of distilleries.
After the Cairngorms National Park we headed over to Glasgow and stayed in a hotel on the Clyde at Helensburgh.
