The funeral of Jean Blasdale was held at Church of The Blessed Virgin Mary in Wambrook on the5th July 2007. The wake was held at the Cotley Inn. Rosemary and I had a room at the Cotley Inn. Four post office delivery men formed a gate of honour at the door. Jean used to provide them with a loo stop and tea with cake. She used to bake different cakes for the postmen. She would spot the postman coming up the road, prepare tea and serve the preferred cake to the postman.
After the wake, we returned to Linnington cottage, and then went into Chard for supper. At the end of the night, we hired a taxi to get back to the Cotley Inn.
