The first week of January, Steve started working at Walker. The first project was installing the Walker system at Lloyds Bank. Trips to Nottingham and Edinburgh as well through the year installing the Walker.System.
Our main holiday for the year was two weeks in France staying in a Gite near to Dinard. We spent the time visiting Chateaux (when they were open) and digging sand castles on the beach. The owners of the Gite supplied us with 6 eggs and a bunch of parsley every day.
Back at home we boarded out the loft of the garage (cart lodge) for extra storage, and worked in the garden growing tomatoes and other vegetables.
We of course visited Margaret and David Lishman where Selina was entertained by gundog Troy and Fleur the Long-haired Dachshund. Several visits to Hill Head to see Rosemary’s parents. One visit occurred when we travelled from Portsmouth to France and back. Visited dad at Lodge Farm, and also visited Unthank Road where Mike and Ann were proposing to move.
On Saturday 26th October we travelled to Guernsey for our second visit to our time share. This year Rosemary’s parents came with us.
The Walker Christmas party was held in the week before Christmas, started off with three chauffeur-driven cars turning up for us. Arriving home after the party, we did not notice the 6′ brick garden wall had fallen into the neighbours garden. We were soon receiving offers for the purchase of the bricks or a rebuild.
Christmas was at home with Rosemary’s parents.
