We have just got back from a holiday to Wales. On Sunday we set off to Wales for our holiday. We spent several nights in B&Bs, a couple of nights in the excellent hotel at Portmeirion. Visited the usual Slate Mines and did a canal cruise. The weather was great, and the food was good. A full report with pictures will appear on the web site in due course.

The Angel
In the process of selling the Spitfire, so not able to go far with all the prospective buyers beating a path to our door. So we went out to the Angel in Long Crendon for lunch. Long time since we have been there.
Excellent meal. Sat outside in the wonderful sunny weather we are still continuing to get. On the drive back we commented on how brown the fields are.
I started with Salmon marinated in three different ways: Pepper, Dill and Beetroot. For mains, I had Monk Fish on a bed of tomatoes olives and root vegetables.
Rosemary started with deep fried crab rolls, and for her mains had Salmon pave on a bed of couscous.
Totally extravagant!
Spitfire sold
The Spitfire has been sold. A young couple of Indian blokes came up from London and bought the car. They had already bought another one that same day for their Sister.
Didn’t get a good price, but we are relieved not to have it around for the next set of MOT tests in 2004.
Royal Bank of Scotland
Stayed a couple of days in Edinburgh working for the Royal Bank of Scotland. The Thursday was wet during the day. First time for ages. Friday was a nice sunny day and we were able to sit outside for lunch.
Back home Friday evening to find Rosemary still not home from work and me without a key, so a fine excuse for a pint of ale at the P&A.
Pig Roast
We (Rosemary, Steve, Selina and Graham) ate at the Plough and Anchor for supper. It was the harvest festival pig roast. The pig had been spit roast by Peter Sheriff for the whole day. The vicar from Ludgershall blessed the meal before we ate.
While the Vicar was there he was negotiating extra business with Tony. Tony is planning his wedding to Barbara, and their allegiance has changed from Quainton church to Ludgershall church.
Lets get broadband campaign
Erected a sign and thermometer at Kingswood crossroads to publicise our broadband campaign.
University of Liverpool award
Selina received a letter through the post from Liverpool University informing her of an award she has won. She has been awarded a Royal Institution (Canning) University Scholarship, one of a limited number of scholarships awarded for one year on the results of either Year 1 or Year 2 assessments.
She obviously is not taking after her father while at University.
First day at Cedar
Today was my first day in the new office, and new company Cedar. Of course it took most of the day to get my email account working. (Thought it was Arelon, but was renamed Cedar)
Welsh shoot
Today was the return match with the St Brides Major. The shoot was a 72 bird layout. First time I had shot since the visit to Wales. I shot OK, but my score did not make the top twelve to be counted. We beat the Welsh. It was lovely sitting out in the sun, with good food a ale afterwards.
Then we played the usual game of Aunt Sally. Last year the Welsh beat us, this year we made amends.
Last day at Elevon
Today was my last day working for Elevon. I celebrated on my own with lunch at the P&A.
